Brady Martin grew up in Roanoke, VA, and fondly remembers his grandmother’s huge garden and cooking alongside in her kitchen. He attended culinary school at Johnson and Wales in Charlotte, NC. Brady moved to Vail, CO after culinary school and worked at Game Creek Lodge, a members-only fine dining restaurant on the resort. Wanting to live closer to his family, Brady landed in Asheville, NC in 2009. After working in many restaurants around town for over a decade, he pivoted at the beginning of the pandemic and opened his own food truck, specializing in locally sourced produce and meats. Kinfolk was born out of the love of cooking for friends and family using lots of recipes and techniques that have been handed down from our kinfolk to yours!
