Jeff Allen

Charleston, SC
Millers All Day

As Executive Chef at Millers All Day, Jeff Allen’s knack for creative dishes paired with his formal training shines on each plate at the brunch-centric restaurant in historic downtown Charleston. Since joining the team in July 2021, Allen continues to execute fun and lighthearted dishes prepared with serious ingredients and classic technique. He has helped them win best brunch and breakfast awards for the two locations.

The son of a career chef, Allen grew up around restaurants and kitchens throughout his childhood in New Haven, Connecticut. In 2005, Allen began his formal culinary training at the Center for the Culinary Arts in Cromwell, Connecticut, where he was awarded his Associate’s degree in the Culinary Arts and Chef Training in 2007.

Throughout his professional career, Allen has gained experience and further his knowledge of different ingredients and cuisines. Since relocating to Charleston, S.C. in 2014, Allen has proven his talent and culinary expertise while helping to open some coveted new concepts, including Wood & Grain and SAVI Cucina + Wine Bar. In 2020, his menus and dishes while Executive Chef at SAVI landed him among the area’s top 3 finalists for Best Chef Mount Pleasant.

Today, Allen executes an imaginative culinary program at Miller’s All Day that allows guests to experience the Lowcountry’s most coveted ingredients without pretension. In his spare time, he likes to spend time with his wife, Katie, and their two kids, and the family’s three dogs – especially when they’re playing sports and indulging in Charleston’s restaurant scene.
