With over 30 years in the food and beverage industry, Elizabeth has worked in just about every facet of the business. She started out in restaurants in Chicago and having moved to the south in the mid-eighties continued working as a bartender and eventually GM for a few restaurants on the coast, as well as run a small catering company.

Elizabeth quickly realized what drove her in the food and beverage business – the beverage side. She moved to distribution and went head first into finding as many resources as she could could to learn about wine – and she’s been down that rabbit hole ever since. Elizabeth and a partner started our own small company Cape Distributors in early 2000 and sold to The Country Vintner. In 2006, she moved on from TCV in 2008 to work for a small regional importer covering the southeast, Monarchia Matt specializing in Hungarian, Italian, Austrian, Spanish and French wines; from there is moved to working for several wineries covering various parts of the country: Fess Parker, Au Bon Climat, Clendenen Family, Smith Madrone, Truchard and R. Stuart and Co. In 2011 Elizabeth went to work for A Southern Season in Chapel Hill, as the Wine Merchant and Beverage Direct for all stores (6 in total) and with the last sale of the stores in 2016, she returned to work for Fess Parker Winery and Vineyards, a small family owned and operated winery, farm, ranch, restaurant and brewery that has been evolving into this incredible, sustainable, food and beverage “ecosystem” over the last 30 years. Elizabeth received her Advanced Sommelier certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers in 2008.
